VoS is collaborating with Silk Mandarin to empower our community with the skills necessary to communicate in Mandarin – this will aid the 1000s of vegan and vegan-curious foreigners spread the message of modern veganism effectively!

There are tons of schools in the city, so why choose this VoS offer? Well, in our typical Vegans of Shanghai style, we will have a Vegan Meal included in these classes! Kate & Kimi is a strong supporter of Vegans of Shanghai and continually adds and improves their vegan food items based on community feedback. They have over 200 items on their platform!
To ensure effective and high quality learning, we will be restricting the classes to an absolute maximum of 8 students per class. However, there will be a minimum of 3 students per class.
These classes are focused on foodies and those whose daily life is affected by dietary choices.
Therefore, a majority of the phrases and vocabulary will be about food, restaurants, and grocery shopping, as well as explaining dietary preferences and restrictions etc.
Note: This is of course, a Vegans of Shanghai event, but the classes will not focus solely on vegan eating; it will also include food basics. Vegan eating afterall, involves learning about the terms and phrases for meat and dairy products as well.
There will be also intersting historical tidbits about historical vegetarianism and veganism in China.
