We had many of you ask us if this in fact was true, and we decided to show you the legendary actor saying in his own words that he is in fact, PERMANENTLY vegan (whatever that means).

记者：您戒烟了吗？

阿米尔汗：我已经彻底戒烟2年了。

Interviewer: Have you stopped smoking? 

Aamir Khan: I have stopped smoking completely; it has been 2 years.

阿米尔汗：刚才请你们吃的蛋糕是纯素的， 不含乳制品和蛋。我是一个纯素者， 永远的。

Aamir Khan: The cake that I fed you guys, was dairy-free and egg-free. I am a vegan…permanently [for good].

阿米尔汗：原因是我的妻子Kiran给我看了一部关于健康的记录片，它是介绍好的生活习惯的，片子是一位美国的医生谈论食物和身体健康/疾病的关系，健康的食物如何影响身体的，非素食/蛋奶素/纯素对身体的不同影响。看完这部纪录片后，我知道了纯素饮食是最理想的，所以我建议每一个人都遵循纯素。

Aamir Khan: The reason is because Kiran [his wife] showed me a documentary about health. It basically presented good lifestyle habits. A U.S. doctor talked about the relationship between food and health of the body, and diseases, such as how healthy food affects the body, and the effects of non-vegan food, vegetarian food and vegan food. After watching the documentary, I understood a vegan diet is the most optimal diet of all. I would advise everyone follow a vegan diet.

记者：但是纯素饮食很昂贵。  

Interviewer: But a vegan diet is expensive.

阿米尔汗：不贵的，如果你从蛋奶素的饮食中去除奶和奶制品（奶酪，乳制品和黄油），它甚至变得更便宜。

Aamir Khan: It’s not an expensive diet. If you remove milk and milk products (paneer, dairy and butter etc.) from a vegetarian diet, it becomes a vegan diet and it is even cheaper.
